Tourism companies ask for Liberia Airport open 24 hours.

The Tourism Chamber of Guanacaste (Caturgua) pressed for the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia working 24 hours a day.

Currently, the Daniel Oduber airport operates 16 hours a day.

The terminal receives between 26 and 36 flights a day, on average, from 4:40 a. m. until 8:40 p. m.

According to the airport administrator, the terminal can receive 1,500 people on the rush hour, however, they are only getting 800.

Coriport (airport administrator) estimated that up to July 31, had passed through the Daniel Oduber 237,000 visitors, so expect to end of the year exceed the amount of the entire 2013.
