The Coco (Coco Beach) is a coastal community located in the district of Sardinal, Canton of Carrillo, Guanacaste province, in the Republic of Costa Rica. It is the fastest growing area of the Gulf of Papagayo and one of the most popular holiday destinations for Costa Rican and foreign tourists. “El Coco” is a good place for water activities including diving, sailing tours, sport fishing and surfing tours to the world famous sites Roca Bruja and Ollies Point.
This growing resort community is located 40 km from Liberia, the capital of the province and only 20 minutes from the Daniel Oduber International Airport.
The climate is warm and dry from November to May and wet from late May to early November, with the exception of intermittent rains in October, the only month of heaviest rainfall. It has an average annual temperature of 27 ° C.
