JetBlue will operate new route Boston-Liberia from November
U.S. airline JetBlue remains committed to Costa Rica as a tourist destination and therefore confirmed the expansion of operations to the new path Boston- Liberia, from November 1st this year, in an official meeting between senior executives airline with the President of the Republic of Costa Rica, Luis Guillermo Solis and Tourism Minister Wilhelm von Breymann.
According to the CEO of ICT, in a short period the country has held multiple positive news with this airline, like the route New York-Liberia, flight Orlando-San Jose; and the connection between Fort Lauderdale-San Jose.
United States is the main source of tourists to Costa Rica. For the first half of this year, total international arrivals recorded by all ports, North America has the largest number (712,458) of which 80% are international arrivals from the United States.
Also, American tourists entering the country by air in 2013, remained in Costa Rica on average 10, 4 nights and during his stay had an average expenditure of about USD 1 231.9.
Similarly, it is worth noting that the “top prospects”, formed by the resident population of the United States with high interest in visiting or revisiting the country, have gone from 10.2 million in 2001 to 17,600,000 in 2013.
