Government supports efforts of Franklin Chang to use hydrogen as fuel.
The project of the scientist and astronaut Franklin Chang, to open in Guanacaste a service station for cars that run on hydrogen, received approval and endorsement of the President, Luis Guillermo Solís.
The president visited Ad Astra Rocket Company in Liberia, where the project will be ready by the end of next year. In the last two and half years Ad Astra Rocket Company and the Costa Rican Oil Refinery (Recope) have invested $ 2 million in this project.
Currently the team is working on the last phase, which concerns the way in which hydrogen is dispensed. Experts suggest that this mechanism should be done by solar energy sources and wind.
